You will be a key member of the compliance team and work directly and closely with engineers, engineering consultants, internal and external test lab around the world. You will play a central role in ensuring e-bike projects are comply with local and international laws & regulations. Our compliance systems are evolving, and you need to be able to adapt it from time to time to support our continuous process improvements. 
  • E-bike Certifications
    1. Coordinate with Product Developers and engineers to ensure all parts of the pedal assist bicycle meet all international requirements.
      1. Includes individual components, electronics including batteries and lights as well as the entire bicycle system.
      2. Requires communication with test labs and teams outside of Taiwan and may require flexible hours.
    2. Ensure certificates and documentation are stored correctly.
  • Manage bicycle testing done by 3rd party labs and supplier labs to ISO 4210 and other similar standards.
    1. Responsible for auditing supplier test labs for compliance for current test procedures
    2. Owner of documentation of completed full bike testing.
  • Compliance testing review for completed bicycles.
    1. Review test results to ensure all aspects have been tested and approved
    2. Complete test record for each model that references all applicable testing done in house and by 3rd
  • Maintain Specialized RSL and PRSL
    1. Chemical restrictions are constantly updated as various countries make updates to their standards. You will need to keep track of the changes that are relevant to our products & packaging and add those chemicals to our RSL
      1. Those Products include:
        1. Bicycles
        2. Grip/decal/footwear/saddle
        3. Helmets
        4. Shoes
        5. Packaging
        6. Assist Apparel and Water bottle teams as required.
      2. Communicate changes/updates with suppliers and resolve open issues.
      3. Work with SGS or other test labs to ensure suppliers can easily test to the RSL(s).
      4. Manage report collection with Assemblers
      5. Ask new supplier sign-off the RSL and PRSL documentation and upload into Agile database. Explain the question to supplier if they have any confuse for the RSL rule.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences with 1-2 years of work experience (Outstanding fresh graduates with no work experience will also be considered). 
  • Hand-on experience in Excel, Jira, Confluence and PLM software.
  • Knowledge of international battery and electronic regulations is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese are very important for working in our fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Ability to assemble, replace or switch the spec parts and components for certification tests.
