To strengthen our e-Bike Quality team located in Cham (ZG), Switzerland, we are seeking for an E-Bike Validation Tester to commence immediately or by agreement. In this role you will be part of our development team, working on complete electronic systems including hardware / software and components with a focus on early-stage testing to achieve a bike vision in collaboration with system and connectivity engineers. 

 

How you’ll make a difference

Verification and Validation testing of new products

    1. Support/perform manual execution of system V&V plans and protocols/procedures. The system includes sub-domains such as firmware, hardware and connected tools. The primary focus will be on hardware and firmware functionality, with appropriate cross-functional collaboration with the connectivity team.
    2. Create system verification and validation detailed protocols and procedures in support of the execution of a system V&V plan. Support review(s) of system V&V plan, test strategy, and procedures for full e-bike system performance for ensuring reliability at launch of new products.
    3. Assist in automation of system V&V procedures where applicable.
    4. Ensure product system requirements and additional applicable system-level design input can be verified and validated.

 

Regression testing on legacy products

    1. Assist in validation of legacy system firmware updates through running system validation test suites including riding tests.
    2. Assist in ad hoc testing and potential failure mode analysis to characterize product designs, reliability, and performance.

 

What you need to win

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Software or System Engineering
  • Process-oriented and excellent communication skills with a min. of 3 years of related work experience
  • Success working in a dynamic environment with aggressive timelines. This includes a great eye for prioritization – pushing aggressively for value and passing on non-value-add
  • Self-motivated and independent way of working, ability to identify problems and report issues
  • Very good technical understanding as well as good analytical and planning skills
  • Distinct rider-centric mindset with a high service-orientation
  • Profound IT user knowledge (MS Office, Outlook)
  • Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand
