ART DIRECTOR, GLOBAL BRAND DESIGN

Specialized is seeking an Art Director to join our Global Brand Design team! We are looking for a highly collaborative, multifaceted design leader with an eye for visual details and the ability to lead, inspire and manage people, projects and productions.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Working within Global Brand Design, you will have responsibility of being a leader on the design team, collaborating on, and developing visual pieces of marketing including:

  • Category visual direction
  • Art Direction and production of video and photoshoots
  • Product launch materials
  • Digital campaigns
  • Retail and in-store campaigns
  • Website visual experiences
  • Collaborating with Digital and Social teams
  • Event branding and collateral
  • Out of home and printed advertisements
  • Internal/external communication design

YOU WILL ALSO

  • Collaborate with external vendors and agencies
  • Manage design team processes to make sure timely delivery of projects
  • Strategically deliver against the needs of the business
  • Create an atmosphere that fosters curiosity, innovative thinking, and collaboration in the service of delivering best-in-the-world brand creative and experiences.
  • Provide design support for the larger Global Marketing team and category marketing managers
  • Provide design support for a variety of stakeholders including global markets, e-Commerce team, Sales team, and Specialized University

ABOUT YOU:

  • Must be hard working, organized, and self-motivated
  • Are understanding and adaptable to frequently changing deadlines and requests
  • You produce rapidly with accurate, beautiful and dynamic work
  • Project-manage and prioritize you and your team’s workload
  • Attract and develop design talent both inside and outside the company.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills: you’re a positive team player with excellent communication skills and capacity to work well with a team and as an individual
  • Will take part in Marketing and Product team meetings and communicate requirements for design elements to the broader team 

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

  • 6+ Years of related professional experience working for a brand or agency
  • Experience managing team members, freelancers, and external vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite--in particular Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience working in Sketch, Figma, and Miro
  • Experience working in project management software and Jira a plus
  • Exceptional visual communication skills and the ability to inspire teams through storytelling
  • Work experience in both print and digital mediums, with a strong understanding of branding, marketing, communications and advertising
  • Ability to identify issues and alternatives and recommend possible solutions
  • Heightened customer expectation, experience and service awareness
  • You must be able to deal with conflict, listen with empathy, review, and follow through to completion
  • Set and exceed expectations clearly with team members
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to travel and be on set for photo and video shoots, events, and market research trips
