As a Financial Controller you will serve as a key member of the finance team in developing long term plans for all finance operations in Europe. Ensure concise operations are consistent with identified strategies and policies.

How you will make a difference:


  • Set up and improve internal controls, closing procedures and application of accounting standards, both national and international
  • Support local markets with accounting setup, integration, and other financial/accounting matters
  • Work on the monthly, quarterly and year end closing process, perform analytical review, account reconciliations and supporting other documentation for various European entities
  • Responsible for the periodic financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
  • Review, analyze and monitor G/L accounts
  • Review and analyze monthly accrual and reserves
  • Contact person for government agencies


  • Early warning report on sales and margin
  • Familiar with Tableau and able to make/adjust complex reports and translate them to a visual report
  • Create monthly diagnostics covering financial analyses on sales, margin, OpEx and balance sheet
  • Create regional monthly sales and margin diagnostics.


  • Be a valued sparring partner for local management, legal counsel, and other shared service department heads in expanding the Specialized business.  
  • Involved in the budget and reforecast process
  • Participate in specific improvement projects
  • Create and analyze investment management and analyses
  • Familiar and understand local accounting and tax regulations

What you need to win:

  • Ambitious, not afraid to get your hands dirty and dedicated to get the job done
  • Master’s degree in business administration or finance
  • 3 to 5 years work experience in an international organization
  • English & Dutch language skills. Another European language would be an advantage.
  • Experience with financial closings
  • Experience with Tableau is an advantage
  • Experience with Oracle Finance is preferred
  • A sport mentality is a big plus, but affinity with the world of cycling even more
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and solution-oriented
  • Proactive, self-assured, looking for continuous improvement
  • Good work ethic, team player and a non-9-5 mentality is much appreciated
