To strengthen our e-Bike Systems Engineering team located in Cham, ZG, Switzerland, we are seeking a Test Technician HMI to commence immediately or by agreement. In this role you will be part of our development team, working on complete electronic systems including hardware / software and components with a focus on our HMI to achieve a bike vision in collaboration with system, connectivity and quality engineers.

How you’ll make a difference

  1. Early-stage validation on future e-bike
    • Support System Engineers in testing new HMI firmware
    • Establish and execute test cases
      • Delta tests of newly added features
      • Functional tests according to the requirements specification
      • Regression tests with every new HMI development
      • Real-time and performance tests
      • Exception tests with different error cases
      • End-user validation tests with a strong quality focus
    • Document test results
    • Test additional dependencies with other parts of the bike system (e.g. motor, batteries, …)
  2. Collaborate with other teams (Quality, Rider Care, Connectivity)
    • Develop new processes and improve existing ones for handover between teams
    • Assist with root cause analysis of field issues related to HMI
    • Reproduce reported issues and validate intended use
    • Ensure that the new HMI firmware works as intended in the whole tool chain
    • Ensure user experience, quality and intended functionality before launch
  3. Automated testing
    • Collaborate in the setup of automated testing
    • Create new test cases and protocols for the system team


What you need to win

  • Education with technical focus, e.g., electronics, software, embedded systems
  • Experience in test automation, planning and execution
  • Experience with bike consumer electronics and fitness devices (Garmin, Wahoo, …)
  • Experience with test management software (e.g., Testrail)
  • Coding experience / mindset a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a benefit
  • Analytical thinking and can-do attitude
  • End-user mentality, attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Open minded personality
  • Excellent English (oral and written) communication skills
  • Experience with Asian suppliers a plus
  • A passion for cycling, particularly e-Bikes is a plus
