What You Will Do and Learn

We are looking for a NetSuite Functional Architect (Finance SME) in our Finance & Operations Practice.  This role will be responsible for leading NetSuite client engagements, driving overall solution implementation, serving as a functional expert in NetSuite Finance / ARM modules, supporting sales efforts to bring in new clients and expand existing relationships, building and coaching our NetSuite team, authoring thought leadership, and driving best practices for our NetSuite portfolio.

Working with the Finance & Operations practice leadership, you will contribute to building a team that is able to identify and implement ways to help our clients find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses utilizing the technology as a driver.

In this role, the ideal candidate will be able to:

    • Lead NetSuite client engagements, serving as NetSuiteFinance SME for our clients
    • Use functional expertise to advise on client business processes including financial close, transactional reporting, integrated financial statements, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Project Management, integrations with FP&A tools such as PBCS, Anaplan, OneStream and other similar processes
      • Bring a functional, business and process-oriented mindset to technology implementation. The ideal candidate should have relevant finance and accounting experience, and also experience in implementing complex solutions using NetSuite
    • Build and coach our NetSuite team with a focus on client success. This will include working with a diverse team of consultants and architects across different technologies
    • Bring best practices to the table for NetSuite implementations
    • Support Business Development activities for NetSuite including building proposals for clients, delivering client presentations, and working with NetSuite and Spaulding Ridge Business Developers
    • Support client demos and proof-of-concept projects for clients evaluating various technologies
    • Provide NetSuite thought leadership by writing articles, blogs, and potentially delivering presentations at user conferences
    • Lead project teams supporting multiple workstreams consisting of client-side personnel and Spaulding Ridge consultants while adhering to Spaulding Ridge’s delivery methodology and project standards. In many cases, these projects will include NetSuite and other technology
    • Approach problems creatively and apply technology to solve business challenges
    • Work with company leadership to recruit and mentor new talent, seek new opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships with clients and alliances
    • Improve and develop our standing as a NetSuite partner
    • Travel varies significantly, however someone taking on this position should be prepared to travel up to 50% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Business preferred or relevant professional experience
  • Experience managing a team of high performing consultants
  • Minimum 12 years of total experience, preferably in accounting and software consulting, or supporting software consulting and implementation. Accounting experience is required for this role
  • 8+ years of experience in NetSuite implementations
  • Experience in configuring NetSuite finance module with exposure to financial consolidation, integrations with PBCS / Anaplan, Close and Console setups and SuiteTax configuration
  • Experience in managing team(s)
  • Should have done minimum 5 end to end NetSuite implementation projects
  • Hands on experience in NetSuite configurations in NS Finance, Advance Finance and ARM modules
  • NetSuite SuiteFoundation certification is MUST
  • NetSuite ERP certification is a preferred
  • Hands on experience in NetSuite Modules : Finance, Advanced Finance, ARM, Project Management, Financial Reporting, Integrations
  • Demonstrated experience in translating customer business needs into dynamic solutions provide best in class value for our clients
  • Experience in change management and business process mapping in support or in conjunction with a major software implementation is a plus
