COMPANION CARE WORKER
A man in his 30s living in Bells Corners with a developmental disability. As a companion, you would be responsible for engaging the client in the community while building a positive relationship. A typical session could include going to a cooking/baking class, watching movies, visiting museums, outdoor activities, and fostering social skills. Our client enjoys cooking, baking, and trains. You would be the ideal candidate to work with us if you are someone who has experience working with developmental disabilities, can maintain boundaries, and have your “G” level drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
HOURS
One shift per week for 3-4 hours (Flexible days)
RATE OF PAY
$20/hr
Requirements

- Valid First Aid and CPR Standard level C certification
- Smartphone with a data plan
- Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
Assets
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- University or College education in a related field
- Driver’s License “G” class with access to a vehicle
