Complex Care Worker
A gentleman in his 30’s living with Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD, and PTSD, living in Centretown West. As a caregiver, a typical session would be supporting the client with integrating into the community, showing him around Ottawa, learning public transit routes, going to fun places and explore. You will also be supporting and prompting for medication, personal care, cleanliness, taking him to his appointments, or helping get into his programs such as an arts class! Our client likes walking, exploring, going to events, meeting new people, learning about Ottawa, and making artwork!
You would be the ideal candidate to work with us if you are someone who is calm, can maintain firm boundaries, and has their current NVCI certification, “G” level drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Please Note: The family has requested a caregiver who has received both doses of their COVID-19 vaccine.

RATE OF PAY

Spark is looking to hire motivated, dedicated, and experienced Developmental Service Workers. In this role, you’ll be supporting individuals in the community requiring direct care with personal hygiene, behaviour management, meal preparation, organization, and light housekeeping.
Care is tailored to each person, so each position is unique. Some clients need mainly in-home support. Others require support participating in community activities. Whatever the circumstances, we want people who will genuinely care about their wellbeing.
