COMPLEX CARE WORKER
Our client is a wonderful young teenage boy living in the Centretown area of Ottawa. Living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Global Developmental Delay, he is looking for support to avoid overstimulation and boredom, where behaviours tend to occur. He loves smells, country music (but music in general, really), play dough, biking, and spices. You would be the ideal candidate if you are calm, yet firm, have experience working with teenagers with ASD, possess a valid NVCI certification and are okay with dogs
Saturdays and Sundays: 10a-4p with flexible scheduling options
One-Two weekday shifts from 4p- 8p
RATE OF PAY
Anticipated start date: Immediate

- Valid First Aid and CPR Standard Level "C" certification

- Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 12 months)
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- University and/or College education in a related field
- Driver’s License “G” class with access to a reliable vehicle
- CPI, TCI, and/or NVCI training (current certification)
Spark is looking to hire motivated, dedicated, and experienced Child and Youth Support Workers. In this role, you’ll be working with children and youth in the community living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, varying mental illnesses, and behavioural challenges.
Care is tailored to each person, so each position is unique. Some clients need mainly in-home support. Others require support participating in community activities. Whatever the circumstances, we want people who will genuinely care about their well-being.
