SparkAI is seeking a seasoned Engagement Manager to join us in driving flawless customer experiences and successful deployments. Engagement Managers at SparkAI are technical and commercially-minded thinkers, but above all, they are creative. You will be engaging continuously with new customers pursuing some of the most exciting automation & robotics applications on the planet – everything from autonomous tractors to warehouse inspection drones. Your role is to deeply understand customer needs and champion the discovery and implementation process that best leverages SparkAI to service them.
The right candidate is conversant in AI/ML development concepts, enjoys engaging with customers to drive impactful solutions, and understands the building blocks necessary to reach successful, high-ROI commercial outcomes together.

WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE
- Drive technical program development and implementation from late-stage discovery through successful pilot
- Lead solutions-finding workshops with engineering counterparts at the client
- Deeply understand customer system architecture and technical challenges
- Navigate diverse customer use cases and design, articulate, and implement creative workflow solutions that deliver high-ROI to customer
- Be accountable to overall customer experience success
- Represent customer needs internally to cross-functional SparkAI team
- Identify new opportunities for further business development within the customer
- Surface opportunities for continued SparkAI product development based customer feedback and activity
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Familiar with AI/ML development concepts and methodologies
- Track record of success in a customer-facing role (ex. engineering consulting, technical account management, sales engineering, customer success)
- Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to converse fluently in technical and business aspects and confidently brief senior engineering and executive audiences
- Possesses a passionate, customer-focused mindset and the ability to deeply understand and fully align with customer values, goals, and needs
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with internal and external cross-functional teams and maintain open, supportive communication channels to anticipate and solve any technical hurdles customers may encounter
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to skillfully propose solutions, set expectations, and communicate next steps with customers at all levels
- Self-starter with infectious enthusiasm, energy, and problem-solving abilities
- Out-of-the-box thinker who sees opportunities and solutions where others see roadblocks
- Ability to travel to customer site (post COVID)
- Intellectual curiosity, empathy, and ability to operate with high velocity
