SR. TAX ANALYST, BRAZIL
Starlink has been operating in Brazil for two years to bring high-speed satellite internet connectivity across all regions in Brazil and is seeing rapid growth across the country. With one of the most complicated tax regimes in the world, we know taxes in Brazil can be complex and difficult, especially with a fast-paced growing operation and unique cutting-edge technology products and services.
Our Brazil Tax Team will be based in São Paulo and is in charge of all the challenges and responsibilities of all taxes in Brazil for the company. This position will report directly to the Brazil Tax Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the company with all direct tax and indirect tax matters for Brazil, under the director's oversight
- Assist in managing projects and ongoing processes with local tax advisors, legal advisors, and BPO service providers for the projects, routines, and controls in place and to be implemented
- Work with the internal sales and operations team, as well as our enterprise customers, to ensure taxes are correctly charged and reported under the director's supervision
- Work with internal customs, logistics and operations teams, as well as third-party logistics companies, on Nota Fiscal and import and delivery-related tax issues under the director's supervision
- Work with internal and external accounting teams on financial statement-related matters, including local tax provisions for our Brazil entities under the Director's supervision
- Work with internal and external transfer pricing teams on intercompany, transfer pricing related matters under Director's supervision
- Keep up with over tax changes in Brazil
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, business or law
- 5+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting or large multinational with extensive operations in Brazil
- Bilingual in Portuguese and English

- Experience with Brazil taxes
- Prior Big 4 experience in Brazil
- Experience working for or with multinational companies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently with head office in the US

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- We will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Sao Paulo
- SpaceX does not yet have regional offices in all regions of the world. Depending on the candidate identified, this role may not initially work from a SpaceX office
