ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Function in a high volume accounts payable (AP) environment, meeting regular transaction targets
Process and match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Respond to questions from vendors and internal departments in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
Process expense reports
Assist in maintaining various Excel reports as needed at intermediate level
Import and export databases and files
Print, organize, and mail checks
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
2 years of accounts payable, finance, or operations experience
Strong motivation for automation and process improvement
General knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficient computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP Software
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
