We take a consultative approach to not just hiring but working with teams to ensure we are making the right hiring decision to drive success. You will have the opportunity to work throughout the business, managing a robust requisition load that covers a diverse set of functions (sales, marketing, engineering, G&A, etc) while managing a high performing recruiting team. What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying a req load to hit the teams hiring goals because you are invested in the success of your greater team.
  • Building partnerships with hiring managers to be an effective advisor on hiring strategies.
  • Managing the full cycle recruitment processes.  
  • Lead, inspire and develop an internal recruiting team that supports the organization through high growth and innovation.
  • Developing and maintaining recruiting programs that align with the recruiting strategy.
  • Identifying and developing strategies for tapping new markets to attract qualified pools of diverse candidates.
  • Having the occasional hard conversation with hiring managers regarding headcount goals, requisition prioritization expectations.
  • Creating and leading recruiting marketing strategies that support the Employer Branding initiatives. 
  • Establishing and maintaining community partnership to promote the candidate pipeline.
  • Driving decisions and continuous improvement through analysis of recruitment metrics.
  • Partnering with the Director of Talent Management and Finance on headcount forecasting and goal setting.
  • Building and maintaining a solid candidate experience from beginning to hire. 
  • Collaborating with the Director of Talent Management to ensure we maintain competitive compensation practices and effectively onboard our new team members.
  • Training hiring managers on best recruiting practices at all stages of the recruitment life cycle
  • Doing all of the above in a manner that seeks to attract diverse candidates, ensures fairness, and removes bias from all aspect of our recruitment and selection processes
  • Partner with universities, coding schools, and other tech related organizations in the Boulder/Denver area to raise sovrn brand awareness to students, faculty, and other potential recruits.
  • Owns the management of all budgeted positions and backfills and manages efficiently towards our hiring goals.
  • Responsible for managing quarterly recruiting budget, strategically applying spend against both short-term and long-term hiring goals
  • Manage recruiting platforms and applicant tracking system (ATS)—we currently use Greenhouse.
  • Establish, maintain, and analyze the efficacy of relationships with third party recruiting agencies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Recruiting leadership experience, preferably at a high growth tech company.
  • Recruiting experience in a high growth tech environment, preferably with a focus in engineering and/or sales.
  • Proven success making passive candidate hires.
  • Consultative approach to building strong relationships with hiring managers and their teams. 
  • Strong problem solving skills with creative approaches.
  • Growth Mindset: We are a growing company and need people who will take initiative, fail fast, and learn from their mistakes  to be successful in the role. 
  • Clear, concise and engaging written communication style (we will probably ask you to write an InMail).
  • Superb organizational skills,  strong attention to detail, deadline-driven and punctual.

  • The skills to work independently but to also ask for help, direction, clarification when needed.

  • Have previously managed relationships with external agencies, vendors, and software providers.
  • Enjoy working with data and using self-generated metrics and analyses to drive results.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and can manage rapidly shifting, competing priorities.

  • Bonus points for familiarity with our ATS, Greenhouse.
  • Have experience recruiting for venture-backed technology startups—especially engineering and sales roles.

Compensation and Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role in Boulder, Colorado is $120,000 to $150,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location.
