What we are looking for: -

We are looking for a qualified Instructional Designer to join our team. You will help identify learning needs and design different learning solutions across multiple mediums. You will partner with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to translate Soroco’s needs into rational learning solutions that achieve our business goals.

You will be responsible for ideating, designing, creating, improving, and maintaining dynamic content that articulates product capabilities and features.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable course creation and instructional design skills. As an Instructional Designer, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail oriented.

Ultimately, you should be able to deliver engaging and interactive contents to ensure learner engagement, product knowledge awareness, and a positive learning experience. 

The role purpose and scope: -

  • Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Understanding of web site design best practices
  • Experience with design platforms, computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical learners
  • Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.
  • Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
  • Writes scripts for video and audio content.
  • Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.

Experience and skills

  • 4-8 years of learning and development experience with a focus on instructional design
  • Experience with Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Camtasia Studio, or equivalent eLearning content creation software
  • Experience with video production and editing
  • Basic skills/experience with web site development including knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Solid experience in e-learning methodologies, instructional design theories, models, application, digital teaching and learning design tools. This will include game-based learning, simulations and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements and hands on experience in the design and development of blended learning solutions
  • Basic working knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
  • Appropriate balance of expertise of how to apply theory in a technical environment
  • Experience juggling multiple work streams while achieving great results
  • Supervisory experience; will occasionally supervise external eLearning contributors and course facilitators
  • A practical knowledge of information architecture, content strategy, and user interface design a plus

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, B.E. / B. Tech, Adult Learning Theory, or related field
