Sony Music Entertainment is seeking Podcast Production Interns who will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of podcast production, program development, and project management. Making a hit podcast demands that you apply rigorous critical thinking and organizational skills to a project with many moving parts.
We work alongside our partners to develop sound-rich, crafted, cinematic audio productions. Our shows feature tightly focused, engaging content, top-quality production, and a national focus. We offer our clients story-driven programming of impeccable quality and mass appeal. As part of this internship, you’ll learn the skills needed to be a top-tier podcast producer.
Book guests as needed
Conduct research and cite sources
Assist with pre-interview guests or representatives
Assist with transcribing and editing audio with assigned software tools
Help finalize episodes for release
Perform routine administrative tasks
Perform other related duties as assigned
Actively enrolled in a matriculated program, in pursuit of an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution and provide documentation of your degree progress
Currently a sophomore or above with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
Interest in audio production and storytelling
Demonstrated research skills
Ability to manage both long and short-term projects
Ability to devote at least 15 hours per week to this internship
The ideal candidate has completed coursework and/or has experience in writing, journalism, English or communications
