As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing full scope marketing and promotion plans to drive RCA artists and releases towards maximum success. Be part of the core team responsible for the overall development of music releases, artist branding, content creation and business development.

 

What you will do:

  • Initiate the creative strategy for artist branding and song releases marketing campaigns, lead and operate individual projects to achieve targets, from overall content creation including visuals, to KOL activation and media buy.
  • Communicate regularly to understand and guide artists on the best marketing campaigns including social media promotion.
  • Maintain relationships with key digital partners and regional Sony marketing teams for promotional activities, content creation, exclusive events and other partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor the analytics of projects, understand the consumption patterns, craft tailor made campaigns to maximise music consumption.
  • Provide in-depth analysis measuring the success of campaigns/tools and communicate the results to all relevant stakeholders
  • Any other duties assigned by the line manager
  • Work closely with artists and team on regular social media content, including overseas platforms, providing strategy, ideation, copywriting and creating content as required.
  • Work closely with Artist management team on Online and offline promotion event organizing included budget planning & control, event content, KOLs & guests’ invitation, rundown and goal setting.
  • Build up and maintain relationship with media, KOLs, MCN or all related business partners. Keep updating on market technology knowledge and news, all the marketing tools and related channels as well as their features.

 

Who you are:

  • At least 5 years working experience in music related business in Mainland China
  • At least 3 years of marketing experience at a record label
  • Native mandarin speaking, conversational English and writing skills.  Candidate with working or living abroad experience will be a plus.
  • Creative, aesthetically-inclined, and enjoys building beautiful and effective presentations. Good in copywriting. Video production and editing skills a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of China’s music and entertainment marketplace, updated with music trends.
  • Social Media Obsessed, Demonstrated knowledge experience with social platforms (Douyin, Weibo, wechat, bilibili, YouTube, Instagram etc.) and the ecosystem.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, good communicator with demonstrated presentation skills
  • Passionate about music, music events, proactive and eager to make a difference
  • Data analysis / consumer-behaviour research skills are a plus
