As the Head of Viral Hits and Catalogue, you will manage a team focused on growing SME’s international repertoire to maximize our revenue and market share in the Southeast Asia (SEA) market.
This is an exciting opportunity for a key leader to create and deliver novel and innovative strategy for some of the world’s best-known international artists’ and influence how music reaches fans.
You will be encouraged to learn and constantly evolve the efficiencies and success of your campaigns through reporting and optimization of robust data sets.
What you'll do:
Campaign Creation
• Develop and deliver stand-out, extensive reaching campaigns around our top artists and international repertoire.
• Identify opportunities to maximize streams and revenue for SME International repertoire across all Digital Platforms.
• Create cultural and hyper-local campaigns that resonate with fanbases.
• Collaborate with wider SME Global teams and Southeast Asia International Marketing team on Global Priority campaigns and new releases.
• Identify new opportunities in alignment with the business to ensure key calendar moments and data stories are leveraged to deliver the best return for Sony Music’s international music in SEA.
Campaign Optimization
• Have a deep understanding of the DSP landscape, best practice and be constantly innovating and testing.
• Managing regular flow of campaigns to increase market share and revenue for international artists.
• Develop pitch presentations for all campaigns, ensuring all campaigns are delivered to life and according to budget.
• Use streaming and market data to identify audience targets.
• Liaise and collaborate with local and international teams for artists to get broader buy-in and access where required.
• Track and record all coverage for executed campaigns.
• Design and collaborate with internal stakeholders on post campaign reporting
Digital Optimization
• Build monthly listeners for our international artists and music through music streaming partners & different channels.
• Identifying SEO (Search Engine Optimization) opportunities on streaming services to grow artists, music, and playlist streams
Who you are:
Experience:
• Strong track record of success in launching international artists and marketing communication campaigns in Southeast Asia region.
• Demonstrable experience in delivering impactful & well recognized international music through a variety of channels, campaigns, and platforms in a creative industry.
• Well-versed in SEA markets music culture and its consumer tastes, trends & behaviors.
• Team management experience.
Technical capabilities:
• Data analysis skills business management experience with exposure to P&L and budget management
• Deep passion and knowledge of music, artists, technology and a strong understanding of how & where fans engage with songs, albums, playlists, and artists.
• Good understanding of the music industry and all areas of the music
Behavioral skills:
• A collaborative personality who is comfortable with change and has a contagious hunger to learn and experiment.
• Ability to think independently, create and develop ideas that lead to positive change/improvements.
• Well organized with exceptionally strong communications skills that are adaptable to different personality styles and situations.
• Cultural awareness: Understand popular culture and the underlying cultural patterns and factors that influence behaviors in different teams and countries.
Others:
• Graduate degree in Cultural Studies, Digital Marketing, Music Business preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English is a must. Bahasa, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog languages will be added advantage.
