This position reports to the SVP, Head of Copyright Administration and will support the day to day administrative needs of the Copyright Department (fielding phones, maintaining calendar schedule, ordering supplies, managing gratis requests, etc.), perform certain mechanical licensing activities, and assist with special projects as needed.
Field phone calls and organize meetings
Coordinate travel plans and maintain expense reports for senior staff members
Manage supply and gratis requests
Maintain department calendars and assist with the tracking of various deadlines for the group
Handle copying, filing, printing, scanning as needed
Assist in the creation and circulation of regular reports for the Department
Perform administrative tasks pertaining to the copyright licensing process as needed
Obtain and maintain songwriter and publisher ownership splits/shares for songs
Maintain artist and producer agreement contract redactions in various systems
Request, review, and execute licenses as directed
Provide supporting documentation to publishers as directed
Process check requests and provide accounts payable with payee documentation, including tax information
Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis
1-2 years general administrative experience in a corporate environment
Bachelor degree preferred
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Outstanding attention to detail and to organization
Capacity to communicate with a wide range of persons both inside and outside the company in a professional manner
