Archival internship opportunity for a graduate student working on library and information science, advanced archives, digital preservation or related degree. The internship focuses on developing and implementing a digitization and archival plan for our historical collection of marketing material.
Project tasks include:
Develop a digitization and archival plan for material captured in print, hard drive and disc
Evaluate and log inventory
Plan phases and recommendations for processing
Prepare and scan print material, reformat as needed
Migrate content stored on hard drives and disc to a staging server
Minimal metadata application
Present digitization and archival plan with recommendations to internal team
This project is ideal for students interested in learning about:

Digital production (born digital normalization and digitization from analog) for digital preservation
Software marketing & design
For this internship the candidate must possess excellent organization and analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with digital image capture and data management.
