Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA to design data quality frameworks to work with big data platform. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field or equivalent and three (3) years of experience prototyping technology solutions. Prior experience must include at least three (3) years of experience preparing strategic roadmap for technology adoption; working with algorithms, network communication, and operating system concepts for performance and maintenance of software systems; developing data platforms and applying object-oriented design and design patterns; writing high quality and well architected code; designing and developing scalable code with unit tests; participating in code review and documentation; evaluating big data ingestion pipeline to propose improvements; creating ingestion tools to upload assets into data lake; creating Spark SQL templates for non-technical consumers; evaluating performance and scalability and improving infrastructure of Spark clusters; and in executing duties, utilizing Docker, Yarn, Spark, columnar file formats, scalable massive processing data warehouses, cluster log monitoring, infrastructure as code, distributed file systems, and automated testing.
