Today, we’re recognized as a global leader in interactive and digital entertainment. The PlayStation brand falls under Sony Interactive Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Corporation.
This internship is for Summer 2019.
PlayStation is seeking a self-starting, creative programmer who would like to thrive in a high pace, high reward internship with one of the innovation and engineering groups, based in Orange County, CA.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys systems programming, and would like a role as a generalist – someone who might write some interface code one day, or server code the next – to power high impact internal-only product experiences.
Experience or interest in the Elixir programming language, Erlang OTP programming, and web development with Phoenix framework a humongous plus.
Experience or interest in PostgreSQL, Redis, and other server technologies a big plus.
Some experience or an interest in user experience design, visual design a huge plus, though not required.
Candidates who show exemplary written communication skill (email, slack, bug tickets, feature definition, project critique, presentations) will be heavily preferred. This role demands rapid, transparent, honest, and kind communication through every phase of development.
