Manager, Global Entertainment Services (Latin America)

San Mateo, CA

The Manager will be a member of the Global Entertainment Services (GES) team at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and help drive global media partnerships and strategic initiatives across the PlayStation platform.

The candidate will manage existing relationships with LATAM partners, as well as be responsible for driving new deals and initiatives in LATAM. In addition to LATAM, the candidate will also help with deals and partner management in USA, Canada and global markets.

The candidate will oversee new third-party partnership deal opportunities from initiation, negotiation, closing and continued account management. Internally championing projects, developing financial models and strategic frameworks for deal analysis, and ensuring successful launches. 

The candidate will work closely with the Legal, Marketing, Project Management, Finance, Advertising and Product Planning teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and execute global opportunities to drive engagement and revenue growth on PlayStation for media services and apps, including forging new partnerships and business models and coming up with compelling partner media offers for PlayStation users.
  • Evaluate potential media service partners to enhance overall consumer value proposition and user experience on PlayStation
  • Manage relationships with partners pre and post-closing of deals
  • Work effectively with other SIE internal groups and stakeholders, including marketing, finance, legal, advertising, product and engineering.
  • Craft business terms and take leadership role in deal negotiations
  • Develop robust financial models for deal analysis to determine structure, support proposals, and influence negotiations for existing and new media services
  • Identify and research emerging market trends and develop strategic frameworks
  • Present business proposals and updates to stakeholders up to the Executive level
  • Develop and report on KPI’s relative to team and overall GES goals

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree. Graduate degree a plus (MBA or JD)
  • 4+ years of experience 
  • Prior experience within digital media, Internet, technology or gaming
  • Direct experience working in Latin America and requisite language fluency (e.g. Spanish)
  • Superior relationship skills, including the ability to work with international teams
  • Knowledge of digital entertainment, including distribution models, platforms, content and services
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including data analysis and financial modeling
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver presentations

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
