In May 2021, we embarked on a journey to start Haven Studios with a small team and big ambitions. Our goal was to build a studio where we could make the kind of games we’ve always wanted to create – and games we’ve longed to play.

We’ve made amazing progress in a short time thanks to our talented, passionate team and their exceptional contributions. Our first new IP for PlayStation is on track to deliver a AAA multiplayer experience with a vision to build a systemic and evolving world focused on freedom, thrill, and playfulness that will keep players entertained and engaged for years.

Haven joined the PlayStation Studios family in 2022, and we are on track to build an exclusive new IP for Playstation and grow the first Sony game development team in Canada.

We are looking for an experienced Producer to join the Haven Interactive Studios project team.   As a Producer, you will act as a product owner for our multi-disciplinary teams.  You will work closely with the content creation team, technical experts, and Content Directors to deliver high quality products.  The Producer will manage our character modeling and content customization development team while driving the execution of Fairgame$ monetization strategy. The Producer will work with the Production Director and leadership team to establish production best practices.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work closely with the Live Operations Producer and the Economic Designer to deliver industry leading customization opportunities to our players.
  • Facilitate production for the character development team by owning the character pipeline.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of a multi-disciplinary team in an agile environment while keeping a watchful eye on team health and development status.
  • Break down complex deliverables, create/manage project roadmap, and keep stakeholders informed, aware of risks, and trade-offs.
  • Coordinate dependencies, assign individual responsibilities to team members, and drive decisions around priorities that come in conflict with project deliverables.
  • Plan deliverables with project Leads and Directors, validate feasibility, and drive development through the project’s entire lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Outsourcing Producer, aiming to scale and optimize production workforce.
  • Participate in the recruitment process; conduct interviews, evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and compatibility with team and organization culture.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Experience in similar management positions such as Producer, Associate Producer, Production Manager, Development Director or other relevant position.
  • Deep understanding of development methodologies, best practices, production life cycle, tools and processes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage complex operational issues.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven ability to recruit, grow, guide, empower and motivate a highly functioning production team in a fast paced changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Great interpersonal communication skills with an ability to successfully partner across and at all levels of a team and organization.
  • Experience launching and operating live service games with a solid understanding of development best practices for Games As A Service.
  • Experience managing teams in all phases of the production cycle.
  • Strong desire to find ways to optimize the game development process.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, display flexibility and adaptability to adjust plans and strategies as new information is gained or as project conditions change.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un·e Producteur·trice expérimenté·e pour rejoindre notre équipe. En tant que Producteur·trice, vous agirez comme propriétaire de contenu pour nos équipes multidisciplinaires.  Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de création de contenu, les expert·e·s techniques et les directeur·trice·s de contenu afin de fournir des produits de haute qualité.  Vous gérerez notre équipe chargée des personnages composée d'artistes conceptuels, de modélisateur·trice·s et d'animateur·trice·s. Il·elle sera responsable des calendriers des projets et travaillera avec le·a directeur·trice de la production et l'équipe de direction pour établir les meilleures pratiques de production.  Au fur et à mesure que le projet progresse dans son cycle de production, la portée de votre mandat évoluera.

Responsabilités et tâches

  • Planifier les produits livrables avec les chef·fe·s de projet et les directeur·trice·s, valider la faisabilité et diriger le développement tout au long du cycle de vie du projet.
  • Fournir une communication claire, opportune et régulière pour s'assurer que l'équipe de développement et les principales parties prenantes sont engagées et que les objectifs de production sont bien compris. Fournir des informations aux décideurs·euses clés-ées et participer au processus de prise de décision.
  • Coordonner les dépendances, attribuer des responsabilités individuelles aux membres de l'équipe et prendre des décisions concernant les priorités qui entrent en conflit avec les livrables du projet.
  • Motiver et permettre à des équipes pluridisciplinaires de faire avancer des sujets complexes.
  • Coacher, encadrer et développer les membres de l'équipe, notamment en planifiant leur développement, en évaluant leurs performances professionnelles et en veillant à leurs opportunités de carrière et à leur bien-être.
  • Décomposer des livrables complexes, créer/gérer la feuille de route du projet et tenir les parties prenantes informées, conscientes des risques et des compromis.
  • Gérer les opérations quotidiennes d'une équipe multidisciplinaire dans un environnement agile tout en gardant un œil sur la santé de l'équipe et l'état du développement.
  • Participer au processus de recrutement ; mener des entrevues, évaluer les compétences, l'expérience et la compatibilité des candidats·tes avec la culture de l'équipe et de l'organisation.

Qualifications recherchées

  • Expérience dans des postes de gestion similaires tels que Producteur·trice, Producteur·trice associé·e, directeur·trice du développement ou autre poste pertinent.
  • Compréhension approfondie des méthodologies de développement, des meilleures pratiques, du cycle de vie de la production, des outils et des processus.
  • Capacité à établir des priorités et à gérer des problèmes opérationnels complexes.
  • Excellentes compétences en leadership, avec une capacité avérée à recruter, développer, guider, responsabiliser et motiver une équipe de production très performante dans un environnement en constante évolution.

Qualifications souhaitées

  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication interpersonnelle et capacité à établir des partenariats solides à tous les niveaux d'une équipe et d'une organisation.
  • Expérience du lancement et de l'exploitation de jeux live avec une solide compréhension des meilleures pratiques de développement pour les jeux en tant que service.
