About Global Corporate Security (GCS) SIE’s GCS mission statement is: To ensure the safety of all, prevent threats and provide a state-of-the-art framework for crisis response to protect the integrity of SIE, its partners and customers. The Physical Security program is one of several vertical groups within the GCS organization.  Physical Security directly supports activities related to the protection, safeguarding, and security of Company assets, Employees, and Guests.  

  

About the Manager Position: We are looking for a creative, innovative, well-rounded, and dynamic professional to manage and lead the physical security operations mission locally, in the Pacific Northwest region, U.S. while also supporting Global Security initiatives. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Physical Security Operations, Global Corporate Security U.S.   

 

The role is focused on the following areas: 

  

Asset Protection: Protect the company’s assets and people from harm; keep the physical perimeter safe and secure.  Assess and evaluate the varying level of Physical Security risks that could impact the business.  These include threats and risks to people, assets, operations, and brand.  Recommend, and implement, risk mitigation techniques and tactics based upon industry best practices and Physical Security fundamentals.  Serve as support lead for investigations, event security, and emergency preparedness. 

 
Operations: Overall responsibility for standardizing and ensuring effective implementation of Physical Security programming.  Manage outside services contracts, desk operations, and guarding for the business.  Leverage technology, resourcefulness, and talent to keep the business running while maturing processes.  Directly support crisis management planning, response, and recovery efforts. 

 
Strategy: Oversee and govern Physical Security strategy to ensure compliance with internal Physical Security policies as well as client driven, compliance, and business-led security requirements.  Shape fiduciary decisions, policies, and methods to improve the business.  

 
Leadership - Possess a capacity for proactive and strategic thinking and a track record demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, organizational leadership, and results-oriented attitude to influence outcomes.  The incumbent will work closely with a team of disbursed Physical Security professionals, outside guarding services, desk reception professionals, and vendor support contracts.  

 
Measurement: Envelop project management principles to govern Physical Security programs and special projects.  Conducts, supervises, and prepares project plans, reports, and documentation in support of operational readiness and other enterprise requirements.  Responsible for metrics and other team success measures. 

 

Related Responsibilities Include:   

  • Conducting physical security assessments, audits, surveys, and process reviews 

  • Oversight for guarding, vendors, and all related physical security contracting 

  • Developing and implementing a standardized approach to enterprise physical security both at a regional and global level 

  • Influencing SIE’s Global Security Operations Center to support physical security operations. 

  • Creating, developing, and implementing initiatives promoting Employee engagement and awareness 

  • Identifying, and sustaining, appropriate relationships in support of mission readiness 

  • Providing regular briefings, updates, and situational awareness reports to the Sr. Director/Leadership 

  • Development of outreach and engagement programming with local businesses, LE, and appropriate agencies 

  • Assisting in the preparation of emergency management and contingency planning efforts 

  • Serve as Leader-on-Duty/Incident Commander for Emergency situations 

 

Qualifications: 

  • A dependable team player with business maturity, innovative approaches, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude 

  • College degree (BA|BS) and seven years of direct experience within security, risk management or related field 

  • Industry certification or related field; CPP or PSP preferred 

  • Direct experience working with technical elements of physical security management (visitor mgt, access control, CCTV, Incident management systems, etc.) 

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a Corporate Security environment 

  • Experience managing Physical Security teams for large scale events.  

  • Superior communication skills (technical writing, electronic, and verbal); must be able to communicate with impact 

  • Demonstrated ability to design an effective physical security program 

  • Previous success working within an unstructured and rapidly changing corporate environment 

  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% per month; most travel is within the Pacific Northwest 

Preferences: 

  • Excellent computer skills (hardware, software, and network operations) 

  • Able to delegate tasks and communicate to a range of audiences including executive management 

  • Experience in Physical Security Design and implementation. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Superior time-management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills required 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, resolve conflicts, and maximize efficiencies of available resources

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$127,500$191,300 USD
