About the Role 

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Content Lead to drive our comprehensive content strategy across multiple audiences and channels spanning D2C and B2B. As the Content Lead, you will be a critical architect of SonderMind's narrative, creating impactful content that resonates with our clients, providers, health system executives, and strategic partners. We are looking for a creative yet data-driven, articulate, compelling storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This role requires a rare combination of strategic thinking, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to translate complex mental health concepts into compelling, accessible content. This will be an execution and writing-intensive role, and we are looking for a scrappy self-starter who is highly self-motivated, strategic, and low-ego, who gets high caliber work done with a bias for action. This person will manage one full-time direct report to begin, and will also be responsible for owning and managing the relationships with 5+ creative contractors. This role reports directly to the VP, Head of Marketing. 

This role will drive the content strategy supporting our direct-to-consumer business (where clients nd us through direct to consumer channels and sign up for SonderMind directly, paying with insurance or self-pay), in addition to our nascent B2B business. 

Our non-D2C business lines include: 

  1. Partnering with health systems, to drive physician referrals of new patients; 
  2. Partnering with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA); 
  3. Partnering with provider directories (e.g. ZocDoc and Psychology Today). 
  4. Partnering with payors and other strategic digital health partners 
  5. Broadening and deepening our partnership with our Provider group 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that spans blog posts, case studies, long-form white papers, social media posts, video scripts, paid social ads, lifecycle marketing communications, provider communications 
  • Identify and communicate SonderMind's key selling points/differentiators for core audiences: clients, therapists, psychiatric providers, health system executives, VA care coordinators, and other strategic B2B partners. 
  • Create nuanced, audience-specific content for diverse stakeholders: clients, therapists, psychiatric providers, health system executives, VA care coordinators, and other strategic B2B partners 
  • Lead end-to-end content production, from ideation and research to writing, editing, and performance optimization 
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, clinical, and enterprise B2B teams to ensure content aligns with broader organizational goals and messaging 
  • Develop thought leadership content that positions SonderMind as an innovative leader in mental health technology and care delivery 
  • Manage content performance tracking, using data-driven insights to continuously refine content strategy 
  • Collaborate with SEO lead on content optimization and distribution strategy across multiple channels 
  • Create detailed content briefs, style guides, and editorial calendars 
  • Mentor and guide other content creators, ensuring consistency in voice, quality, and strategic alignment

Who You Are 

Experience: 

  • 8-10 years of content strategy experience in healthcare, technology, or B2B marketing 
  • Proven track record of creating high-impact, multi-channel content 
  • Experience in Healthcare, Mental Healthcare, SaaS, or technology industries is strongly preferred. Experience marketing to health plans, health systems, payers, and physicians a plus. 
  • Experience in a digital health/mental health growth-stage startup is a plus 

Skills: 

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats 
  • Deep understanding of content marketing strategy and execution 
  • Advanced SEO and content distribution knowledge 
  • Proficiency in content management systems and analytics tools 
  • Strong data analysis and performance tracking capabilities 
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into accessible, engaging content

Our Benefits 

The anticipated salary range for this role will be $108,000-135,000 per year.
