We are looking for a humble, passionate, and enthusiastic Therapy Supervisor with a high degree of integrity and a positive attitude to join our special team of clinicians and support experts in New York!

Position Summary

The Therapy Supervisor will play a pivotal role in providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of unlicensed therapists while also delivering exceptional direct patient care. This position requires a balance between leadership responsibilities and hands-on therapeutic interventions. This is a full-time position that requires working in office Monday through Friday.

About You:

    • Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist
    • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in providing mental health therapy services, with demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with strong skills in team building, staff development, and accountability to expectations through performance management
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in all interactions
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage competing demands, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Leadership (40%)

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of unlicensed therapists, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support professional development, clinical growth, and skill enhancement of therapists.
  • Review and co-sign therapy notes, treatment plans, and other documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Provide as-needed consultation and staffing for patient escalations related to clinical emergencies, increase in level of care, or emergent change in clinical presentation.
  • Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of therapy services.
  • Serve as a liaison between therapists, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to facilitate communication and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes for therapists, providing constructive feedback and support for continuous improvement.

Direct Patient Care (60%)

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and other modalities, to address the needs of patients across the lifespan.
  • Deliver individual, family, and couples therapy sessions, utilizing a client-centered and strengths-based approach to promote healing, resilience, and recovery.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate integrated care and support holistic treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment interventions, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency policies.

Other

  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures in accordance with State and Federal Regulations for client care and services (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, or other governing agencies)
  • Be a champion of Sol Mental Health; represent the organization with pride in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders

Compensation: Earn up to $100,000- $125,000
