Solid Power is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. As a member of our team, you will work in close collaboration with the top scientists and engineers in solid-state battery technology to develop a data storage and analysis system. Through backend data processing software development to front end display and analysis apps, your work will transform raw data into powerful conclusions that guide the company.
Apply data science and analytics principles to create software that transforms raw data into useful information for scientists and engineers.
Develop web applications for rapid dissemination of results gleaned from R&D, production, and quality control data.
Communicate effectively to develop an understanding of the software needs of the engineers and scientists within the different departments of the company.
Interface with IT department to ensure data integrity and high availability of your applications.
MS in Computer Science or related field.
5-7 years of full-time industry experience in a data science or software engineering role in a materials research, life sciences, manufacturing, or similar setting.
Experience designing efficient databases including time series databases (PostgreSQL, InfluxDB , TimescaleDB, Microsoft SQL).
History of gathering, collecting, and transforming large datasets.
Working knowledge of the flow-based programming tool Node-RED preferred.
Ability to manage a hypervisor like KVM.
A passion for learning and flexibility to adjust to changing needs of a fast-paced company.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent time management skills.
U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $127,000/year
