In the ever-evolving landscape of financial compliance, our AFC Controls & Testing Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring our processes not only meet but exceed regulatory requirements. This team is at the forefront of safeguarding our operations, continuously refining control and monitoring activities to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Our team is adept at navigating complex regulatory environments and are relentless in their pursuit of excellence.

We’re looking for an AFC Controls & Testing Manager who is ready to take on the challenge of enhancing our compliance framework. If you have a passion for refining processes, detailed monitoring, a resilient mindset to follow through requests and actions, as well as a desire to make a significant impact, this role is for you.

You will be responsible for supporting the preparation and execution of our annual monitoring plan, improving existing processes, and ensuring robust documentation. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying deficiencies, advising on outsourcing activities, and providing technical support to both employees and partners.

Your Role

  • Support the preparation of the annual monitoring / control plan and ensuring the timely processing of control and monitoring activities
  • Define, execute and implement control and monitoring activities from the control and monitoring plan
  • Continuously improve of processes and the existing control and monitoring plan
  • Improve the efficiency of existing control and monitoring activities
  • Monitor the processing of any deficiencies and communication with the respective partner managers
  • Expansion/improvement of the documentation
  • Advise specific departments in relation to the monitoring of outsourcing activities
  • Provide guidance and technical support for employees and cooperation partners

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in money laundering with reference to legal requirements or practical experience
  • Experience in AML compliance, internal/external auditing, or controls monitoring & testing
  • Training as a bank clerk or equivalent qualification with professional experience in money laundering or financial services
  • Extensive experience with systemic auditing or controls testing and report writing
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GwG, KWG, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Team-oriented with strong decisiveness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pragmatic working style
  • Confident, with excellent social skills and a hands-on mentality
  • You are resilient, self-motivated and empathetic 
  • You have conflict management and negotiation skills
  • You are fluent in English to engage with all international team members within the company. Other languages, particularly German is a strong advantage
