As an Engineering Manager you'll sit at the intersection of organisational and functional leadership by heading one or two product development teams with full management responsibilities. We understand the candidate market, and we as a company are in support of a well-balanced work life.

Your Role

  • You will conduct regular 1-on-1s with all direct reports and help them grow.
  • Actively unblock the teams and ensure high team delivery rates.
  • Contribute to and drive the Solaris wide IT strategy.
  • Drive overarching initiatives that shape and enhance all processes within IT engineering, including but not limited to the areas of:
    1. Software development lifecycle.
    2. Quality and production readiness.
    3. Knowledge sharing.
    4. Interteam communication.
    5. Push for 100% STP / automation.
    6. Compliance.
  • Full compliance with operational risk management and business continuity management processes for the responsible departments.

We'd love to see 

  • 2+ years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams engineering teams.
  • Modern leadership mindset.
  • Strong mentorship and role model skillset.
  • Profound understanding of agile and lean processes.
  • Good understanding of modern information technology and related concepts (e.g.Docker, Microservices, SOA).
  • Pro-activeness, taking ownership and strong collaborator in a matrix-org setup.
  • A strong will and ability to learn fast.
  • You are able to explain complex matters to different stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.
