Position summary:

Sojern is seeking an experienced destination marketing professional with the entrepreneurial drive to drive growth of participation in Sojern’s industry leading Co-Op programs. This front and center opportunity will position you to build opportunities and grow participation within Sojern’s growing DMO Co-Op opportunities across the United States, Canada, and Caribbean. The person in this role will be responsible for boosting participation in co-op host programs and making participant campaign recommendations across our multi-channel advertising platform, utilizing unique data from our multitude of travel partners. The candidate will need to be located in the United States. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong DMO background having a deep understanding of the DMO/partner dynamic. They must have exceptional presentation skills, including public speaking, and a strong understanding of digital advertising. 

What you will do:

  • Increase participation in Sojern’s Co-Op programs by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the destination marketing sector.
  • Engage and prospect potential program participants including destinations, hotels, attractions restaurants, breweries and more.
  • Advise participants on campaign strategies using Sojern’s multi-channel advertising platform, leveraging unique data from our extensive travel partnerships.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with DMO partners to foster collaboration and maximize program success.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and participate in public speaking engagements to promote Sojern’s Co-Op programs and showcase the value of our offerings.
  • Effectively collaborate with Destination Sales, Client Success, and Product Marketing teams to develop relevant advertising programs for key clients
  • Proficiently utilize Salesforce, with Sojern’s architecture and guidelines, with the ability to report on KPIs, including individual results
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements around the Sales process, tools, and efficiency
  • Foster an energetic and collaborative team environment

What you bring to the table:

  • 3+ years overall experience within a Destination Marketing Organization with a full understanding of digital advertising.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in standard business and sales software, including Salesforce, Gsuite & Office products is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal cross functional teams. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of DMO insights, analytics, and funding models is a plus.
  • Ability to travel (20%)
  • Communication and presentation skills
