The Job at a Glance 

Reporting up to the office of the CEO, you will help shape, scope, and deliver key organizational and go-to-market initiatives. In this role, you will support a dynamic, fast-moving leadership team by conducting market research, developing business cases for expansion, and make recommendations on cross-functional opportunities. This internship offers valuable exposure to strategic decision-making at a scaling organization in a unique, multi-industry model. 

The role will require 15-20 hours of work per week, 10 of which should be during regular business hours (Central Time) to enable live collaboration with the team. Start and end date are flexible, but a strong preference is for a four-month commitment. 

What You’ll Do 

Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail, and financial technology, no two days will look the same. Typical responsibilities of this role may include: 

  • Conduct internal and external research to support solution definition 
  • Gain cross-functional alignment on solution development and deliverables 
  • Write user stories and define rough user interfaces to assist with development efforts 
  • Define requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria for features while operating within typical constraints (e.g., time, resources, etc.) with a focus on the end user 
  • Manage the solution lifecycle and backlog for various features based on customer needs and Soda Health’s strategic vision 
  • Serve as Soda Health’s subject matter expert (SME) in your area of ownership, and act as a key stakeholder for customer feedback, stakeholder questions and system troubleshooting 
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams during sprints to deliver solutions in an Agile manner 
  • Participate and sometimes lead solution rollout tasks, assisting with relevant testing and analytics functions 

 About You 

 While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include: 

  • 3-5 years of experience, ideally in a technology, healthcare, retail, and/or fintech setting 
  • Currently in the final year of a graduate program – preference for MBA, MPH, MHA, or MPP 
  • Must be able to make progress independently, including getting up to speed quickly, developing ideas, and creating clarity from ambiguity 
  • Strong problem-solving skills to overcome the challenges that come with creating something net new 
  • Detail-oriented and a strong communicator, including written deliverables and presentations 
  • Commitment to building a diverse culture that is highly collaborative, strives to set and achieve goals together, and embraces transparency, innovation, and accountability 
  • A clear passion for, if not experience in, addressing health inequities 

 Other Requirements 

  • Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request.

  • Monthly salary ranging from $2,200-$2,800; depending on experience/qualifications
