The Job at a Glance 

As a Soda Health IT Automation Engineer, you’ll be directly responsible for the continuous improvement of the organization’s IT operations. This refinement directly impacts Soda Health’s ability to scale and improves the day-to-day technology experience for Sodans. 

What You’ll Do 

Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the same.  Typical responsibilities of the role include:  

  • Critically and creatively looking at IT processes, finding opportunities for improvement
  • Automating and scripting so that our processes are scalable and repeatable
  • Assisting colleagues who need technical help – on a rotation as part of our helpdesk function
  • Being a part of a lean IT team, hands on with a large variety of tools and projects
  • Helping to make everyone's time at Soda Health the highlight of their career 

About You 

While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:  

  • 1-3 years IT engineering or software engineering experience in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and managing macOS and IT systems
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
  • Inspire others through compassion, understanding, and building strong relationships
  • Confidence and ability to provide supportive and critical feedback to build better ideas
  • Enthusiasm to remove obstacles and streamline business processes; always with a "how can we do this better?” attitude
  • Desire to take ownership and be autonomous but still collaborative
  • Passion to solve problems for real, everyday people
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred   

Other Requirements 

  • Occasional travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs.  
  • Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a really nice work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request.

  • All offers for employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
