What You’ll Do

Working within an organization created at the intersection of financial technology, retail, and healthcare, no two days will look the same.  Typical responsibilities of the role include:

  • Own the day-to-day relationship between Soda Health and our external partners, ensuring they have what they need to complete our integrations on time and with exceptional quality. You should be able to hug the boundary between being a project manager and a solution architect.
  • Execute and own our existing playbook for retailer integrations. Some specific implementation tasks that you will own include (but are not limited to):
  • Explain our integration file spec and API documentation to merchants’ development teams and field their questions with minimal to no input from our Engineering or Product partners.
  • Drive onboarding for new assortment categorizations and/or update existing categorizations to ensure that new merchant item assortments are indexed appropriately.
  • Map merchant data into our internal systems, writing clear and concise user stories for import jobs (bonus points if you’re technical enough to write the job code yourself).
  • Relentlessly seek out and implement enhancements to our merchant implementation playbook and on-going assortment management so that we can complete implementations at scale with greater speed and higher quality.
  • Act as a key thought partner with Product and Engineering to ensure new roadmap items are scoped appropriately with buy-in from our retail partners so that we are set up for implementation and operational success when delivered.
  • Maintain crisp internal and external process documentation as well as hyper-organized client documentation.
  • Establish strong relationships with Engineering, Product, Business Development, Account Management, Member Experience, and other key business partners. Act as a liaison between these groups and ensure comprehensive and timely communication of projects to all relevant stakeholders.

About You

While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:

  • Relentless pursuit of process efficiency without sacrificing quality. In the past you have been able to nearly “automate yourself out of a job” with the processes you built.
  • Comfort with integrating large data sets into proprietary systems, experience with SQL or similar solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against deadlines with different teams; you thrive in shifting between managing partner relationships, working through the latest integration issue, driving internal efficiency improvements, and supporting new roadmap features.
  • Demonstrated experience owning positive and productive relationships with external partners/vendors, preferably in the retail and/or fintech space.
  • Strong and concise communicator who can break down complex topics to drive decision making and stakeholder buy-in; you have demonstrated success creating a path to yes in the face of several headwinds.
  • Ability to balance a strong attention to detail with being able to think strategically.
  • Commitment to building a diverse culture that is highly collaborative, strives to set and achieve goals together, and embraces transparency, innovation, and accountability
