The Job at a Glance
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Compliance Manager to enhance and administer our corporate and Medicare/Medicaid Compliance Program. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance, this role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with federal healthcare program requirements and organizational policies. The Senior Compliance Manager will develop policies and procedures, lead compliance projects, manage program activities, and align regulatory requirements for Medicare/Medicaid vendors with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and be committed to maintaining high standards of operational compliance.
What You’ll Do
Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the same. Typical responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing the Vendor Oversight and Management process with respect to downstream entities
- Supporting the company’s overall corporate compliance regime
- Ensuring adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations and guidelines
- Developing new policies and procedures and improving upon existing policies and procedures
- Responding to RFPs, audits, and assessments for compliance operations
- Working cross-functionally with various departments to support compliance needs
- Fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization
About You
While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:
- 5+ years of direct experience in regulatory affairs or compliance within Medicare or Medicaid.
- 3+ years of managerial experience within the healthcare industry, particularly in Medicare Advantage and Medicaid programs.
- Deep knowledge of CMS regulations, Medicare/Medicaid compliance requirements, and general corporate compliance operations.
- Experience with CMS or First-Tier Entity audits, FDR compliance requirements, and overseeing downstream entity compliance.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with developing compliance processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred. Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree, LLM, Juris Doctorate, or Healthcare Compliance certification is a plus).
Other Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs.
- Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request.
