What the role is:

The Socure IT team is expanding to include an IT Systems Administrator. As we grow, we’re looking to mature our offering to build a best of breed end user computing environment with security built into everything we do. This new team member will provide both remote and on-site support to users as Socure scales.

We’re looking for a motivated Systems Administrator with experience with JAMF, and support of macOS workstations and corporate managed iPhones. The role is part of an expanding India team, and the individual will respond to and resolve user requests across a variety of issue types related to routine IT applications and services. In this highly visible role, a successful candidate will demonstrate expertise with macOS, strong familiarity with MDM controls on iPhones, a mindset that prioritizes security in all things, and bring a customer centric approach and mindset and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

The role will be based remotely until Socure returns to our office in Chennai, after which the role will be based onsite.

What you’ll do:

  • Gather requirements from the team and initiate the hardware procurement process. Support lifecycle management of managed Macs and iPhones 
  • Manage external hardware vendors on a regular basis
  • Assist with the new hire onboarding process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily Tier 1 and 2 support issues via chat, email, phone, and/or using remote desktop tools
  • Assist internal customers with routine application or services questions related to  collaboration and productivity tools, and connectivity to Socure systems (e.g., Okta, VPN)
  • Document processes and procedures to continue to build self-service resources for users
  • Foster usage of Confluence as an internet and repository of internal documentation
  • Contribute to drafting and distributing IT related communications to users
  • Document processes and procedures to continue to build self-service resources for users
  • Participate in broader team initiatives such as corporate issued iPhone rollout; hardware refresh and reimaging of Macs; web filtering solution rollout, etc., as well as security and compliance related initiatives
  • Assist our Governance, Risk and Compliance team with gathering evidence for audits and customer assessments
  • Take part in an effort to build a best of breed end user computing experience that has at its core best practices, security and creative approaches to enabling productivity for a distributed workforce 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Comp Sci/Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years supporting macOS/Mac OS X in a corporate environment
  • Experience supporting corporate MDM managed iOS/iPadOS devices 
  • Adept communication and explanation of technical concepts and policies to a wide variety of users, both technical and non-technical 
  • Experience with IDPs, particularly Okta
  • Experience creating and maintaining documentation
  • Experience with JAMF
  • Collaboration with a distributed team and workforce
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Creative problem solving for both user and systemic problems
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies

Nice to have:

  • Jamf 200 (or higher) certified 
  • Zero touch provisioning using ABM for macOS and iOS devices
  • Experience with MDM administration 
  • Experience with Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite) 
  • Apple Certifications (ACMT/ACSP)
  • Experience navigating in AWS (for evidence gathering)
