The Business Development team is responsible for new business growth at Code3 and managing onboarded accounts at the highest level. As Director, Business Development, your focus will be uncovering new opportunities and winning new business, while simultaneously working to grow and deepen high level client relationships. You will work closely with the Head of Business Development to ensure revenue goals are met. To meet these goals, you’ll be challenged to think strategically while establishing Code3 as the #1 partner in the minds of clients and major social platforms. You will also be expected to maintain, grow, and develop net new revenue streams across existing and new business accounts.


You will be tasked to: 

  • Achieve the assigned revenue goal
  • Develop and execute prospecting strategies to close new business
  • Proactively seek out and uncover new ways to drive revenue for Code3 inclusive of meeting with emerging social and advertising platforms
  • Develop and maintain relationships with top clients to ensure client satisfaction and mine additional upsell opportunities
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with platform partners to establish Code3 as their #1 marketing partner
  • Identify and maintain industry events to raise Code3's profile in the marketplace
  • Work with Account Management and Strategy leadership to provide strategic guidance across all Code3 clients
  • Gather competitive intelligence
  • Create a positive work environment for all team members while setting a strong example of how the team should be conducting themselves in office and in front of clients


  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales and/or business development, preferably in media, social, creative service or ad tech


  • Outstanding ability to build and maintain client relationships 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to storytell 
  • Existing direct client relationships preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals 
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Highly organized and focused multi-tasker with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience calling on one or more of the following verticals: auto, financial, spirits, telcom, pharma, CPG, tech, QSR, retail
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment
  • Critical thinking ability
  • Proficiency with G-suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to provide clear written and verbal communications
  • Energetic, relentless drive to succeed, TEAM player
