Every day, the world gets more digital thanks to tens of millions of developers building the future faster than ever. But with exponential growth comes exponential risk, as outnumbered security teams struggle to secure mountains of code. This is where Snyk (pronounced “sneak”) comes in. Snyk is a developer security platform that makes it easy for development teams to find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure — and do it all right from the start. Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure.

Joining Snyk means embracing our core values: One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking. As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment where fostering collaboration, leading with empathy, driving business impact, and inspiring trust are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Opportunity

As the Cloud to Code Staff Product Manager at Snyk, you will be at the forefront of defining and driving the strategic vision of our Cloud to Code correlation capabilities. Your role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between runtime environments and the underlying code, ensuring that AppSec teams can efficiently manage their environments, understand code ownership, and implement effective remediation strategies. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product marketing, and sales teams, contributing to new business creation and driving significant user and organizational impact. This role demands a strong understanding of both the technical and business aspects of product management, making you a recognized expert in the market.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term product strategy for Snyk's Cloud-to-Code correlation features within the DevSecOps platform. You will collaborate with key partners to identify new technological use cases and business opportunities, and present detailed roadmaps and plans to senior leadership, customers, and stakeholders. Your ability to understand and anticipate customer pain points will allow you to identify new product opportunities and align them with business goals. As a thought leader, you will drive the adoption of industry best practices, lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, and ensure that your product area is well-documented and communicated across the organization. You will also be expected to conduct user research, perform competitive analysis, and demonstrate your product's value through effective demos and presentations.

The impact of this role is substantial, as it directly influences the success of Snyk's Cloud to Code initiatives. If successful, it will enable AppSec teams to optimize their security processes, reduce risks, and increase overall efficiency, thereby driving significant business growth and customer satisfaction. The work will also contribute to Snyk's reputation as a leader in the DevSecOps space, influencing industry standards and best practices. Failure to perform in this role could result in missed market opportunities, reduced customer trust, and slower product adoption, ultimately affecting the company's bottom line.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 4 years experience in product management within a relevant technology domain, such as DevSecOps or cloud security.
  • Deep and thorough understanding of the product area, enabling acting as a subject matter expert and effectively leading product demos.
  • Constant learner, eager to explore new ideas and methodologies.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative atmosphere that encourages innovation within the team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct user research and translate customer feedback into actionable product features.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey product visions and strategies.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms and runtime environments, with a deep understanding of how they interact with underlying code.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ability to create and interpret detailed design documents, business cases, and roadmaps.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to leverage customer feedback and user research to inform product decisions.
  • Competence in presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with modern product management tools and methodologies.

We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!
