As our Revenue Analyst, you will play a key role in reviewing fully executed contracts, helping with month-end close and quarterly reporting assignments as well as performing periodic analysis of stand-alone selling prices. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a highly fast paced environment and collaborating with cross functional teams within the business and finance. We’re looking for a team player who is detail oriented, has a good knowledge of revenue recognition standard ASC 606 and highly motivated to get involved in the ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Review Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and ASC 606
Assist with revenue recognition of professional services, training contracts and multiple-element arrangements
Work with cross-functional teams to provide support in processing change orders, amendments and give feedback on revenue implications
Perform month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, revenue accruals, revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations and flux analyses
Prepare schedules and reports in support of external audit, provide quarterly disclosures for financial reporting
Assist in performing periodic analysis of stand-alone selling prices for existing and new products
Work actively with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Billing, Financial Reporting and Deal Desk teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, address revenue recognition issues
Assist in maintaining and updating internal documentation for revenue policies, procedures and controls
Participate in special projects such as system enhancements, ad hoc analyses as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA and Big 4 Audit experience is a plus
2+ years of overall experience in accounting with global public / private company
Working knowledge of ASC 606
Experience in Software, SaaS or technology industry
Advanced Excel skills including v-lookups, pivot tables
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently but also be a team player
Experience working with Workday Financials and related modules a plus
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a challenging and fast-paced environment
