THE CHALLENGE

As the Head of Finance, you will:

  • Oversee financial operations, accounting, and compliance
  • Lead the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new initiatives, strategies, and regulatory requirements
  • Advise executive management on the financial implications of business activities
  • Strategise and present recommendations to improve financial performance and business operations

 

ABOUT YOU: THE CHALLENGER

Functional

  • A masters or bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in finance or a related field
  • Extraordinary analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to resolve acceptable solutions
  • Advanced technical skills & outstanding documentation skills
  • Experience crafting detailed reports and giving presentations
  • A track record of following through on commitments, excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills

Non-functional

  • Understands the startup ecosystem - that we are running a marathon, not a sprint
  • Thrives in a non-corporate environment and can work with ambiguity
  • Collaborative and possess excellent verbal and written communication
