Job Summary:

As the Director of Business Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business systems within our organization, most critically Salesforce and Sage Intacct. You will lead a team of professionals to ensure that our Salesforce ecosystem aligns with the strategic goals of the company, streamlines operations, and optimizes efficiency across departments. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership abilities, with a deep specialization in Salesforce CRM, Sage and other enterprise software.

What you will do:

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement a comprehensive strategy for Salesforce CRM that supports the organization's objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce technology to improve business processes, increase productivity, and drive growth.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of business analysts, system administrators, and developers specializing in Salesforce to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Salesforce team.

Salesforce Development and Integration:

  • Oversee the development, customization, and integration of Salesforce CRM, including third-party apps and integrations.
  • Ensure that Salesforce is effectively integrated with other business systems and with existing infrastructure to optimize performance and functionality.

Salesforce Implementation:

  • Manage the implementation of new Salesforce solutions, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, project planning, and execution.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of new Salesforce initiatives.

Salesforce Maintenance and Support:

  • Develop and implement processes for ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Salesforce end-users and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.

Data Management and Governance (Salesforce):

  • Establish and enforce data management policies, standards, and procedures specific to Salesforce to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of company data within the CRM.
  • Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation efforts within Salesforce as needed.

Risk Management and Compliance (Salesforce):

  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with Salesforce CRM and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to data security, privacy, and governance within Salesforce.

Salesforce Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with Salesforce vendors, consultants, and service providers involved in the implementation and support of Salesforce solutions.
  • Evaluate Salesforce vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements to ensure optimal outcomes and value for the organization.

What you will bring to SmithRx:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years proven experience in a leadership role overseeing business systems development, implementation, and support, with a specialization in Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience with healthcare/healthtech business systems highly desired
  • Experience in Sage Intacct preferred
  • Experience with Talkdesk and Twilio a plus
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex Salesforce implementations from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align Salesforce initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
