Job Title: Inventory Control Analyst 
FLSA Status: Exempt  
Reports To: Inventory Control Manager 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Analyst will be an essential position in the inventory process across our warehouses. This position will support implementing inventory, monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in all warehouse locations and ensures successful execution of product movement through our facilities. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Performs analysis of inventory throughout the production life cycle.  
  • Ensures the accurate and secure documentation process of inventory is being formed at the warehouse level.  
  • Analyze, investigate, and correct inventory discrepancies.  
  • Prepare reports of results and conclusions for management. 
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting tools and establish ad-hoc reporting to enhance efficiency.  
  • Lead cycle counts in a program to identify and eliminate any problems found in daily processes.   
  • Conducts time studies to evaluate operational efficiency. 
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.  
  • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages.  
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.  
  • Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.  
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.  
  • Cross collaboration with warehouse employees and other teams across the organization to ensure business goals are met and customer satisfaction is reached.  
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.  
  • Trains other shipping and receiving departmental employees on cycle counting and inventory control processes.  
  • Establishes safety stock levels to buffer against supply / demand variation  
  • Identifies, tracks and proposes solutions to root cause counter measures of inventory errors, adjustments and/or cycle count variances.  
  • Performs inventory analysis weekly for slow-moving inventory, obsolete material, inventory imbalances, inventory cost reduction opportunities, and drive for resolutions.  
  • Travel to our warehouses across the U.S. to handling in person audits.

“THE PERSON” | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 or more years of experience in inventory control, distribution, logistics, or similar position. 
  • Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.  
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% across the US. 
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.  
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.  
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills  
  • Experience in food environment tracking preferred.
