Manager, Sales

Smartsheet is currently seeking a Manager, Sales to hire, coach, and lead a team of Inside Sales Representatives, serving an audience of primarily US based customers. You will oversee a team responsible for closing deals in new and existing accounts and driving them toward achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue and bookings goals.

You Will:

 

  • Lead, manage and develop a high performing team of up to 8 Inside Sales Representatives, serving an audience of primarily US based customers.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and play an active role in recruiting, staffing, and training a team of qualified sales professionals (as needed)
  • Formulate and execute monthly sales plans while pacing towards quarterly goals
  • Use sales enablement tools to coach and provide feedback to direct reports in the areas of sales strategy, pipeline management, opportunity management, and career development
  • Play an active role while coaching reps to help close both simple and complex sales cycles 
  • You will manage productivity, funnel of opportunities, and quality to ensure teams meet established goals and standards
  • Facilitate and manage cross-functional partnerships to manage full sales cycle and close business
  • Help manage programs, that support sales leadership initiatives, to achieve target goals for team and individual representatives
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Be a role model. Anticipate and plan for change. Communicate a vision to your team.

 

You Have: 

 

  • 3+ years successful sales experience, preferably selling in the technology field and / or SaaS
  • 3+ years of successful sales management experience
  • Proven success in building, growing and managing top performing sales teams
  • Exceptional customer relationship and deal management skills 
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to negotiate 
  • A self-starter attitude, is result-oriented, adaptable, and inquisitive
  • What it takes to embrace change in a fast-paced organization, and the ability to motivate your team to do the same
  • Desire and ability to lead with empathy to ensure your team’s needs are met, while simultaneously meeting the goals of the organization
  • Ability to deal well with adversity; remaining driven and resilient 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Outreach, Chorus preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, B2 English Proficiency Level or higher
  • Ability to work flexible hours required
  • Degree or relevant work experience
