Job Description

As a Senior Pricing Analyst you’ll be responsible for researching, analyzing, developing and implementing product pricing strategies to optimize profitability and support overall business objectives You will strategize on how we go to market with a product monetization model that is aligned with customer value. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, assess market trends, research competitive landscapes, and recommend pricing adjustments across our software and hardware product verticals. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who enjoys working with data and financial modeling and has a passion for driving business success through effective product pricing strategies. In this position you will report directly to the VP, Product Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data to identify opportunities for price optimization to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Utilize statistical and financial models to assess the impact of pricing changes on ARR and hardware profitability.
  • Stay informed on our vendor/supplier landscape as it relates to manufacturing costs and pricing of our hardware product verticals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand competitor pricing strategies and market positioning.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, economic factors, and customer behavior that may impact pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, procurement, and other teams to gather relevant information, develop and implement effective pricing strategies around business goals, and ensure continued alignment on pricing strategies.
  • Create reports/KPIs to track and measure effectiveness of pricing strategies during Go–To-Market launches and provide summarized recommendations and actions based on customer behavior insights.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments based on market analysis, cost considerations, and strategic objectives.
  • Provide insights on product and customer profitability to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models to simulate various pricing scenarios of new and existing products/services and proposed pricing changes and assess their impact on financial performance.
  • Provide support for pricing-related inquiries and collaborate on customer-specific pricing agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.
  • 5-7  years of proven experience as an Pricing Analyst or in a similar analytical role, including three (3) years specific to Product Pricing, with demonstrated ability to perform technical analysis, developing and implementing pricing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of pricing models, cost analysis, data reporting, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with market research and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful track record of collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with JIRA, NetSuite, Salesforce or other relevant software.
