Junior Full Stack Engineer – SmartBear Platform Services

Platform Services streamlines access to SmartBear's range of products and resources. This system provides a unified environment for managing identities, teams, organisations, subscriptions, online payments, and trials, ensuring a seamless experience for users and administrators across products.

About the role:

As a Junior Full Stack Engineer you will be working with internal teams around the globe to build the next generation of interconnected SmartBear applications and services. You can look forward to working with our best and brightest engineers, product managers, and UX folks to deliver meaningful centralised "Platform" services that are consumed by multiple product development teams.

  • Work with several technologies and languages TypeScript, Node.js, React, JavaScript.
  • Work within a collaborative high-performance team of developers, testers (for test automation), support engineers and more.
  • Implement new functionality in close cooperation with the team and users.
  • Engage in peer design and code reviews. Maintain test coverage.

We are looking for you if you have:

  • 1+ years of TypeScript development experience
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, and writing maintainable code
  • Experience with RDBMS (E.g. MySQL) - schema / query design & implementation
  • English on at least B2 level

In addition, the following skills are a plus:

  • Experience with Node.js, React, JavaScript
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines driving automation and quality
  • Experience in high-volume SaaS applications on AWS
  • Experience in synchronous and asynchronous API design
  • Experience with Java ecosystem
  • Experience with Next.js, Nest.js
  • Experience building solutions on top of event streaming systems like Kafka, Active MQ, EventBridge, etc. (Event Driven Architecture)
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Helm, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Knowledge in security engineering and OWASP
