Senior QA Engineer – ReadyAPI 

  • Lead and drive the quality assurance efforts for the ReadyAPI product, ensuring its reliability, performance, and functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies and plans.
  • Tech stack: JavaScript, HTTP, REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, Apache Kafka, Git, Docker.

With ReadyAPI development teams around the world (e.g. NASA, FedEx, ...) can test API types like REST, SOAP, Apache Kafka, MQTT.  Record live API traffic, or virtualizing web services to remove pipeline dependencies. Finally integrates with GIT, JIRA, Slack, Jenkins and many more development tools.

About the role:

As Senior QA Engineer you will work on regression testing, test automation and overall providing the highest quality experience of the ReadyAPI products.  In addition, you will mentor and guide junior QA engineers, sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of quality within the team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA professional to make a significant impact on the success of our product.

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on design and architecture.
  • Collaborate across QA teams to develop and deliver test automation, ensuring application quality.
  • Identify, track, and manage defects.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical expertise and promoting best practices in software testing.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Write acceptance criteria for requirements.
  • Monitor and measure test coverage to improve test scenarios.

We are looking for you if you have:  

  • 5+ years of strong experience with JavaScript for test automation, tools and frameworks such as SoapUI, ReadyAPI or other API testing tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, Agile methodologies, and continuous delivery.
  • Experience in following would be a big plus: MQTT, Kafka, OAuth2, JMS, AWS EC2.
