About You:

SmartAsset is looking for a numbers-driven Specialist of Paid Search to join a fast-growing team of Performance Marketers and Search professionals. This person will directly manage lead generation marketing initiatives and drive revenue for the business through SEM platforms such as Google and Microsoft (Bing) Ads. Specialists will participate in all aspects of search media campaigns including research, planning, reporting, optimizing, and testing.

The right candidate has a sharp, quantitative mind, enjoys testing and learning while also having ownership of multi-million dollar marketing campaigns that will yield tangible results for the business. Specialists will also enjoy collaborating across marketing, sales, product, data, and tech teams, sharing insights, and running experiments. 

Specialists are strong in Excel and data analysis and will also spend time researching new marketing angles, landing page optimizations, ad copy and split tests. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own key search campaigns with a 6 - 7 figure monthly budget
  • Manage the day to day operations for Google and Bing Search ads. Create, implement, track, analyze, test, report and optimize campaigns
  • Research and leverage data to inform new keyword, ad copy, landing page strategies to maximize relevancy and efficiency of search marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with top talent across marketing, sales, product, tech, and data teams, to optimize search campaigns, increase workflows and scale through iterative testing
  • Assist in generating daily, weekly, monthly and trimester performance reports
  • Provide consistent and effective support to Manager level and above on performance, forecasting and opportunities for tests
  • Develop and employ successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management to achieve target conversion and ROI goals
  • Work remotely from anywhere in the continental US

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 0.5 - 1 years of Search Engine Marketing (Google, Yahoo! Bing etc.) experience 
  • 1+ years experience in digital or performance marketing
  • Strong quantitative skills. Highly proficient with Excel and in data analysis
  • Results-oriented self-starter with ability to manager and prioritize multiple projects
  • Lead generation or ecommerce experience a plus
