Content Marketer 


You’ll be the brand voice across all our digital marketing channels


Smarkets has enjoyed incredible growth over the last few years and we’re looking for a Content Marketer to convey the brand to our current and future customers. You’ll own the sporting calendar and be the digital voice of Smarkets for all marketing channels across the whole range of events. You will be the person that brings content to life with words, images and video.


In the next six months your team will…

  • Re-design our CRM strategy, writing new and engaging forms of emails with which we communicate with our customers
  • Execute on the opportunities within the space of social media via our growing Twitter and Facebook channels
  • Produce SEO-focused media to further improve the brand’s visibility on search engines
  • Own the customer-facing website content to be constantly current and relevant in line with the event calendar
  • Devise the content launch strategy for a brand new, industry disrupting sportsbook product
  • Bring push notifications to the forefront of our marketing activities by creating the right message, for the right person, at the right time
  • Be a key part of the wider marketing strategy in executing on high-impact advertising both digitally and out-of-home


You will

  • Be responsible for the content displayed on all consumer-facing mediums across the Smarkets brand(s) including emails, advertising, and social media
  • Work with the Marketing team to test and conduct analysis of current content formats and to highlight opportunities for new ones - continuously testing to find what works
  • Brief and work with the Design team to produce creative and engaging content
  • Execute and manage social media campaigns to build followers, enhance visibility, and drive engagement
  • Work with agencies/third-party publishers to maximise the effectiveness of the content marketing strategy
  • Optimise content for search engines and social media algorithms
  • Own the event calendar to produce relevant, timely, and engaging content


Ideally, you will have

  • Experience in content marketing, copywriting, design, social media, and community management in a B2C role either on the agency side or in-house
  • An excellent command of written English with a creative mind and out-of-the-box thinking for idea/concept/campaign generation
  • Have knowledge of sport and the sporting calendar. An Interest in politics is a bonus
