Why this role exists
skyTran will disrupt the deployment of transportation infrastructure by leveraging off-site fabrication and installation of modular guideway and structural components. This requires a seasoned professional with demonstrated success in managing engineered structural systems utilized for transit projects or infrastructure construction. We seek an individual with demonstrated success in creating and managing a broad catalog of standard sku’s as well as project specific customized derivatives. The selected individual will oversee the development of integrated guideways and structural support systems designed to meet the stringent functional requirements of our transportation system.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product planning and management, with at least 2 years in a product ownership role
- Experience with structural/architectural products utilized by transit, energy, infrastructure, and/or commercial construction industries (e.g. wind turbines, pipelines, refineries)
- Background in engineering (civil or mechanical preferred)
- Proven communication skills enabling effective external communication with customers, third-party suppliers, and infrastructure construction partners.
- Strong background in PDP / NPI / Stage Gate or other structured product processes

- Well versed in direct professional customer interactions
- Analytical and able to understand complex engineered structural systems inclusive of mechanical, electrical, construction/installation, safety, cost, access, maintainability requirements.

- Excited to travel in pursuit of building a globally-transformational product.
- Enjoys breaking down complex problems into fundamentals, and building a focused strategy and plan.
- Bias towards data-based decision-making for product definition that incorporates customer needs research data, market analysis, and ROI/financial considerations.
Outcomes
- You will own product planning and management for guideways and structures
- You will engage with engineering, external suppliers, customers, and partners to define requirements for our world-class transportation system and to ensure the resulting roadmap and standard sku catalog are fully aligned with system requirements and customer needs.
- You will work directly with Engineering and Program Management to balance marketing inputs with solid business decision-making.
- You will support Marketing, Business Development, and Sales throughout the commercialization process.
