We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing and Installation Technician to join our fast-growing team. This position will perform electromechanical assembly and RF systems installation. In this role, you will have autonomy to build things when and how you want, buy tools you need to complete jobs, and come up with new ways of making products and solving problems. The Technician will help us build wire harnesses, PCBs, enclosures, and other cool hardware and then see the work in action.


  • Comply with department SOPs, work instructions, and adhere to customer and SkySafe standards for manufacturing products
  • Adhere to work instructions to properly operate and maintain equipment as needed
  • Visually inspect product quality, troubleshoot, and escalate issues when necessary
  • Ensure daily production output expectations are met
  • Identify and recommend disposition of defective items for rework or scrap
  • Clearly communicate instructions and operational expectations to other team members
  • Periodically inspect product to ensure quality levels are maintained
  • Complete all documentation and training as required
  • Assist in authoring and/or revising SOPs and work instructions as needed
  • Support R&D Engineering products as requested by supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area, wear appropriate PPE, and adhere to safety standards
  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed by all team members
  • Help maintain tools and manufacturing equipment
  • Provide input for new manufacturing processes or technology
  • Complete system installations including hardware assembly and RF connections on various infrastructures including masts, rooftops, towers, etc.
  • Understand rooftop and climbing work safety and adhere to all of the proper guidelines for completing a safe and successful installation
  • Lift and haul heavy equipment to installation locations
  • Create cable penetrations, pull cable, and troubleshoot general electrical and network connections
  • Troubleshoot unexpected installation issues by thinking creatively and communicating effectively with persons outside of SkySafe.
  • Represent SkySafe professionally and maintain good working relationships with partner entities



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience working in electronics hardware manufacturing
  • Soldering experience and cable harness manufacturing experience
  • Outdoor electronics installation such as telecommunications equipment
  • IPC Certifications preferred: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721
  • Capable of achieving quality results in a low volume, highly agile manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and readily accept additional responsibilities and improve upon standard practices
