R&D ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN - EL SEGUNDO, CA
As an R&D Electronics Technician, you will support the Electrical Engineering design team with electronic and mechanical assembly of electronic test racks, wire harnesses, and similar electronic components. You will be responsible for electronics test equipment and interfaces checkout and troubleshooting. Additionally, on occasion you will support test setup, checkout and testing activities at local Southern California test laboratories. This is a full time onsite position based out of our systems integration lab in El Segundo, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support engineering development of PCBA’s through troubleshooting and debugging of new designs.
- Interpret and implement changes to PCBA’s based on schematics.
- Fabricate and test simple to moderately complex wire harnesses, including the installation of connectors.
- Utilize breakout boxes and logic analyzers for the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic components and systems.
- Create and modify acceptance test procedures.
- Ability to communicate test results from board and system level testing.
- Failure analysis at the PCBA level.
- Travel to local Southern California test labs to set up and check out test equipment that supports product qualification testing.
- Support overall Avionics systems and subsystems integration activities to ensure safety, certification, and aircraft design requirements and objectives are met.
- Provide hands-on support for equipment calibration, configuration control, and lab testing.
- Work in a collaborative manner with other engineering disciplines such as GNC, Perception, Safety, Systems, Flight Test, Software and lines of business as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of electronics technician experience.
- Ability to travel in the local Southern California area as needed.
- Use of schematic capture and layout tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior test equipment assembly and test knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of how Avionics/Electromechanical systems integrate and interact with the overall aircraft.
- Experience working as part of a team that has certified a regulated safety-critical automation solution in the aerospace industry.

Approx. Hourly Rate Annualized: $80,000 - $120,000. Your base pay will be determined on experience and the pay of of employees in similar positions.
